Can you hide specific friends on FB?
If I didn't want one specific person seeing that I was friends with another specific person on Facebook, is there a setting for that? Does FB even get that detailed....

No there is no setting for this. You can get one person to fully block the other then they would not be able to see any interaction they made with you.
