Nikon Coolpix S3500 wi-fi?
How do I set up/enable the wi-fi on this camera? I've read something about an eye-fi(?) card. Is this also a memory card to store my photos? What does the wi-fi let me do, obviously connect to the internet but is it only to share photos on social networking sites? How do I go about enabling the wifi?

The eye-fi card is an SD card which can send photos to a computer within range - if the computer has the necessary software installed.

If it can't reach the computer, it stores your images like any other card.

It allows you to put images onto your computer (sharing them is a second stage), and does little more than a USB card reader or USB cable can't do as well.

I've never encountered a sharing software that actually worked, and it's far less complex to add images manually to social networks, emails etc.

The S3500 does not have WiFi built in. You will have to buy an EyeFi card. It will come with instructions.

All WiFi or EyeFi does is connect your camera to your computer or another WiFi device. Then the software (app) on that device can forward your pix to social media. Or, it can just hold them for your viewing pleasure.

You read something about it? Go to it then and have all your questions answered by their website.
