Parents won't allow wifi on iPod. HELP! :(?

I have had an iPod touch for some time now and my mum and dad won't let me have wifi on it. All my friends have instagram and stuff and I need a way to convince my parents to let me have wifi. I don't know why i'm not allowed maybe because they think I'll use it heaps. Can you please give me some ideas to convince them to let me have wifi. I'm starting high school this year and I desperately want seeing that I don't have an iPhone or samsung.

Try using it less! Or even better make up an important reason as to why it would be good to have it! like... looking up info for school project quickly or when the computer is busy etc

If they care about something in particular try to shape it around that! like if they care about your education say that it will help you at school!

maybe you should say "ill do my homework and chores before using my wi-fi"

...out of everyone in my entire grade, even the weirdos, all have wifi at home, what kind parents do you have, if someone found out in my school, your done, tell them that they are the stupidest parents alive. sorry but damn.
