Why would a friend befriend you for writing on their facebook wall?
A friend back from high school that was a teamate of mine decided to befriend me after I wrote something positive on his wall. I noticed he had passed an important test for work so I gave the thumbs up that I liked that news, like 8 of his other friends did, and wrote 'good job' on his facebook wall. Next day I am off his facebook's friend's list.

The only thing I can think of was he has over 400 some friends and I am not a close friend, someone he hasn't talked to in years since high school, so maybe he felt it was inappropriate for me to post something on his facebook wall since we are no longer that close. I don't know? That is really the only thing I can come up with. He had accepted my facebook request and was my friend on there a few months, so it really puzzled me.

Any ideas to explain his strange behavior?

It is possible that he was was just thinning out his facebook friends. I went through a phase where I defriended people that I barely spoke to. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
