How do I block online chat on facebook

u have to turn off live chatting...there shud b an option

you can turn the chat off or you can create list of friends so you can allow only cetrain ppl to see you online/

If you want to come back to the previous old facebook chat room and see all your contacts, then click on this link:

Now if you don't want to chat in the FB chatroom, or if you don't want your friends to see you online, then above the chatroom, there's a bottom that says ''options'' click on it and it will display a list, give a click on the first one that says ''Go offline'' and that's it. Just like the following picture:
