FB Profile pic change, no notification..?

So I change my profile picture, but then the "(person) changed his/her profile picture" notification does not appear on my timeline or peoples' newsfeeds...

What happened?
How can I turn it back so that people are notified?.....

Please help me....
Is it in the privacy settings?
I know I can make it public, but I put it on "Friends".

Thing is, when I change my profile picture, people are not notified that my picture has been changed..

You get notifications when your friends like, comment, share your posts (photos, status, comments,etc). Facebook will not give you a notification when you change your profile picture because you already know that you changed your profile picture. It will be shown on your friend's ticker that you have changed your profile picture. And it will be also shown on your timeline.
