Can you get in trouble for deleting someone's facebook account?
So my friend recently kinda "hacked" his ex girlfriends account.
Basically his ex girlfriend was ruining relationships with his new gf, and he knew her's hotmail details, he logged in, got the facebook password and deleted her's facebook account and hotmail account. So my question is.. Can he get in trouble for that? Like police or something like that? Thanks Ads |

There is no such thing of "deleting" a Facebook account.
You can only deactivate it. But you can always reactivate it whenever you want. So the question about will he ever get into troubles or not... well he won't. But he may get into troubles if his ex-girlfriend reports this to the police. Invasion of personal privacy. Ads |

There have been news stories lately about people being arrested and charged for hacking other people's accounts so it's entirely possible that your friend could get into trouble if his ex finds out what he did and calls the police.

Yes, if she decides to press charges. Google husband and wife Leon Walker and Clara Walker for news articles on a similar situation. The husband is facing jail time at the moment.
