Facebook app for ipod touch 2g not working?

today i tried to use facebook on my ipod touch 2g. it said there was a problem. so i tried again with the same result. then i deleted the app and tried to reinstall it and it says requires ios 4.3 which is unavailable for the ipod touch 2g. does this mean i cant use facebook on my ipod touch anymore or is there an alternative app i could use please help as this is the main use of mt ipod next to music and i would hate to loose it. i dont really want to have to go onto the internet all the time to get it.

If the updated Facebook App requires iOS 4.3 and the iPhone 2G doesn't support that version then you won't be able to use Facebook anymore.

You'll find that many of the Apps now will not work on that phone or iOS version.

You'll likely need to upgrade your phone. The iPhone 3GS should be available on eBay fairly cheap. It will work for you.
