Facebook app for blackberry not showing notifications?

i have a blackberry torch. and whenever i use the facebook app the news feed works fine, its just it doesn't show my notifications, but then when i log on the computer i can see them, but the just don't show up on the app. my cousin has the same phone and his works fine. when he is on his home screen it will have a * on the facebook app when he gets a notification. but mine doesn't. this is very annoying so anyone who knows how to fix it that would be great!

You need to go onto facebook on your mobile phone click the menu button on your phone and click options scroll down and there will be a box that says facebook notifications check mark it and you will now get the notifications.
