I was invited to a gathering but I don't want to go URGENT?

Last week my friends threw me a surprise party and one the people who came said that if I ever have a gathering you're invited because I don't have a Facebook account.

He's having the gathering today and I'm not feeling well. I'm afraid if I don't go it would be impolite, is it?

He's in my class and we're not very close friends and should I apologise if I don't go? Like send him a message but I'll have to get his number from a friend because I don't have it!

I know this is a bit odd to ask this but should I go? Will he think I'm a jerk if I don't?

It is polite of you to let him know if you are coming especially if he is expecting you, just text or call or message him and explain that you are not well and i'm sure he'll understand.
And don't feel guilty about it, but get well soon.

phone or text him when you get his number and explain that you aren't feeling too good, he should understand. and he can't make you come.

I like what thy said. No it's not impolite if you don't feel well. Just tell him u can/ couldn't when you can and I'm sure he will understand. Get well soon!
