how to tweet without a hashtag symbol?

i saw a trending topic without a hashtag symbol on it i click it and try tweeting same topic but it appears plain not included in the trending topic it should appear bold... dunno what to do

Run the search on your twitter search box including the trending word with hashtag. It will give you results that you can track. With a list of the occurrence of that word or trending topic. You should be able to get enough information from there
