How can i get a lot of followers. Is there a quick way to become popular over a short period (1-2weeks)?

This is actually pretty hard to do if you don't have exposure in other forms of media like national tv or if you do something like a viral video. On average you really need to just be on twitter a lot. like post a funny, thoughtful , quirky tweet almost every hour. You could also make up some business cards with your twitter address and ask people to follow you.
