How do you erase a facebook account?
I erased all my pictures and everything else, but it wont let me erase the whole account. It's frustrating me, I wish that I hadn't even made an account with them. Am I blind or is there really no way to erase my facebook page?

You need to hover over "Settings"...you can see that option at the top of the screen, to the right. Then click on "Account Settings". Click on the blue "Deactivate" next to Deactivate Account. Select an option on why you are deactivating, select the checkbox to opt out of receiving email, then click "Deactivate My Account" and you're done!

But why would you want to deactivate your facebook account? Facebook is soo cool, I can't live without it. Reactivating is easy, all you have to do is log in to Facebook like you usually would if you had an account and you get back everything...all your pics, friends and settings. x

If you go to your Settings page, you can 'deactivate' the account - that's as close as you can get to deleting it I'm afraid. Rather than erasing it forever, it keeps your information there incase you want to 'activate' your profile again.

Hi!
It's quite simple. You select 'Settings' from the top bar on the right hand side. Then 'Account Settings' and from there the bottom link in the box is 'Deactivate your account'. You simply follow the procedure from there and there you go!

Hope that helped,

James
