Well I had a twitter, but deleted it. But from what I learnt about it, most of the time yes it will tell you wether or not someone visited your twitter account.

Not on my mobile.
On a PC: "When a login request is made, you will see browser details and approximate location in the app. If you receive an approval request from halfway across the world, you may be getting phished" (twitter). Twitter has some new features like login verification.
But I never got a notification like that, so maybe there never was an attempt?
