Toshiba Thrive Tablet wont work right, tempted to return it and get an ipad?
I got a Toshia Thrive about 3 months ago and it runs like crap. It's lagy, doesn't respond well with touch, and it won't let me connect to any apps. It wont let me access the android market, youtube, facebook, my gmail or anything else that requires you to log in. It keeps giving me an error... Should I just return this crap and get an ipad? To be honest I was expecting a little more bang for my buck, but this thing runs like crap...

It's a 10.1 inch 16gb (wifi only)

I'm replying from toshiba tablet. I know it slow and cannot beat the ipad. If you can get your money back at a point where is an ipad that'll be great. In my case my tablet for less than 300 dollars, so I'll live with it. My son has an I pad. It is GREAT. Even the first I pad is better than any Android currently on the market. Androids does have potential, just not yet.

This definitely is not the norm. I got my Toshiba 32gb (wifi) for Xmas and have had no issues with it. It sounds as if your thrive was maybe refurbished when you purchased it. A brand new thrive does not do this. Have you done anything or have had a friend of such try rooting it? If anyone messed with the configuration of your thrive this would certainly do this. Have you done all the updates through the Service Station. If you can't it definitely was altered. After (3) months you mention about returning it. None of the stores will take a 3 month old tablet back. All I can say is you either bought a tablet that was used, refurbished, rooted and therefore it will never operate like a new out of the box thrive. Also, why would you wait three months when you could have returned it right away. Something sounds fishy here.
