Will we my boyfriend and I eventually get back together?

Okay my boyfriend and I were together for 2 years. We were each others first love. Recently he broke up with me because he said he got bored and we had the same routine in our relationship. We live in Augusta GA and there is literally nothing to do here but go to dinner the mall and movies. Its been two months since we broke up and we have talked about were things went wrong in our relationship and we have both apologized for the things that he did. He keeps saying that he doesn't want to be in a relationship right now and untold him neither do I because I want to work on myself and my down falls before we get back into a relationship because I DONT want the same things that happened last time to happened again and I asked him will he be willing to try to work on our issues and problems and make this work and I said I was not looking to get back together now or in the next months. He said he will eventually because he loves me and wants us to work but just not now. He said that he was focused on one thing and one thing only now (going to the military). I felt like he was not meeting me half way so I told him I was going to change my number and block him on all social networks. Because I needed to move forward and he said he didn't want me to do that but to do want I feel I have too. I don't know what to do in this situation because I do love him with all of my heart but am I making the right decision. Advice please
I didn't block him on social media out of spite, I blocked him because he uses it to check on me like to keep tabs on the things that I am doing and also so he wouldn't have a way to contact me because if we decide to go our separate ways I don't want to be looking for him to check on me any of that cause I do now and when We go days with out talking it bothers me. So to eliminate the possibility just block him

You are very young, it's obvious. Chances are you will not have a long term relationship with your first love. Especially if he is going into the military and you are blocking him on social media out of spite.
