Graphics Card for PCI Express x1 slot?
I have this pc:
HP Pavilion Elite e9200z
Windows 7 Ultimate
6 gb RAM
Motherboard: H-RS880-uATX (Aloe-GL8E)
350W PSU

The pci-e x16 slot seems to be broken. So I was wondering if I can install graphics card on pci-e x1 slots (have 3 such slots). I need to know the best possible graphics card I can use for that slot. I don't want to upgrade the PSU, so I want a graphics card that the PSU can handle.

Here is the link for the pc that I have:

No, you cannot install graphics cards on PCie x1 slots. Only x16, and some x8.

Well you cant install a pci-e x16 graphics card onto a pci-e x1 Instead of getting a new graphics card I think it would be in your best interest to get a new motherboard

Don't know why you would want a graphics card for the PCIE x 1 slot. https://www.facebook.com/pages/NBSN/205302762950470

"Any 16x card will fit and work in a 1x slot... and will still give you the high resolutions. The only thing that will suffer is gaming performance. To which i assume if you are using a 1x slot you dont want it for gaming."

Google search will show many PCI-e 1x video cards if you must buy one.

x16 cards just physically incompatible to fit into x1 slot; some of PCIE can negotiate for active lanes but that don't solve the problem of jamming x16 to smaller slot.

x1 cards do exist just not of any power, PSU upgrading is unlikely necessary; they are pitiful GeForce 7600 GS at best.

Sure, get a $500 7950 AMD card and slap that baby in a 1X.

It'll work just fine, but you'll get fuck all performance (excuse my language).

But your answer, it will work just fine for a word processor!
