yes. there is an enormous amount of evidence against her. she lied through her teeth throughout the whole investigation. her parcial handprint was found on poor Meredith´s forehead. one minute she said she was at her boyfriends when it happened, then she said she was at the apartment and heard Merediths screams. then she said she came in the apartment, saw blood on the floor and left!!! there is do much proof that she was lying the whole time that it makes her self manufactured ¨victim¨image go up in flames. she is guilty as hell.

what Rachel m has written is TOTALLY INCORRECT. I don't know where she got her info but i suspect it was off the back of a toilet door.

Amanda Knox's handprint was NOT found on Meredith's body.
There was a handprint found on Meredith's pillow matching a man named Rudy Guede. this guy was friends with some of meredith's friends and apparently had a crush on her. meredith's bedroom window was smashed and she was sexually assaulted before being murdered. Guede has a history of robbing houses by breaking a window. the bathroom near Meredith's bedroom also had poo floating in the toilet. Guede knew some of Meredith and knox's friends who lived downstairs and had been to the girls house before and the guys from downstairs said on that occasion they had found Guede asleep on the unflushed toilet with poo in it.

So basically- Guede's handprint is on the pillow of the bed where meredith was killed. the window is broken and he's got a history of breaking into houses that way and the toilet is unflushed.

Amanda doesn't have a penis so we know it wasn't her that assaulted meredith, which leaves the question did she help Guede or someone else kill Meredith?

The evidence against Amanda is basically she went to her house to borrow the mop to use at her boyfriends because a water pipe had broken. while there she didn't see any clues something was wrong, there was a little bit of blood on the ground, a "few drops" and i'm not sure what/if there were other clues. so she left and went back to her boyfriends (she later sounded the alarm when she was home and meredith still hadn't left her room)

knox and her boyfriends alibi is also a bit dodgy. they were together but their stories, while similar, don't exactly match. they explain this with the fact they were smoking pot. also, they turned their mobile phones off which they apparently never did and knox was supposed to work that evening, however she has a text message from her boss saying not to come in, so that explains that.

To understand why Amanda Knox was found guilty and not Rudy Guede we also need to understand that the Italian police are not like ours, they are really corrupt and did a terrible job with this case. Amanda was illegally refused a lawyer, she was verbally abused during her interview and she was not given an interpreter, even though she speaks very little italian.

The police also said they thought she was guilty because when they took her back to the crime scene to further question her when they took her near meredith's bedroom she began crying. (umm hello, her house mate died there! even if she didn't kill her i think that's normal.) after being questioned in the house photographers took a photo of her and her boyfriend (who was also questioned) kissing. they said they were comforting each other, the media reported it as a celebratory kiss of getting away with the crime.

personally, i think rudy guede definitely did it, and there is a chance knox helped but probably not enough evidence to actually convict her. i think this case was probably made such a big deal because knox is attractive which newspapers love and she has average social skills which have been misinterpreted as not caring about meredith's death (eg. the kiss, but also she apparently does yoga stretches to relax at inappropriate times which her other roommates said was weird and i expect the police agreed). either way, this is probably one of the very sad cases where we will never truly know who did it.

EDIT: I forgot to mention also that Knox and her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were also seen near the house where meredith was murdered when they were supposedly at Sollecito's house smoking pot. So either they both forgot this or they lied. they were together though so if Knox is guily i would think her boyfriend is also guilty.
