Facebook makes me depressed?

I hate facebook and I especially hate that I can't stop looking at it. Everyone posts pics where they go with their million friends to fun places like Disneyland or Las Vegas, since they have cars, money, and parents who let them travel. It makes my life feel boring and pointless, like I'm the only young adult sitting around at home because I have no way to able to do anything more. Anyone else have a love hate relationship with Facebook? It's so bad for a person suffering depression to make things worse by feeling envious of others, but I can't help it when I'm bored and want to know what others are up to.

I don't have Facebook, but I hate the singles/dating category on here cuz it makes me feel lonely :-(

Simply delete the account.

Actually, I feel the same way about FB.
I enjoy it and it's a good way to keep in touch with friends. But sure, seeing all these people eating fancy meals, guys with good looking girls at a party, it CAN be depressing. I feel like 'Wow, everyone has a great life, but me.'

Here's the thing: While I do enjoy Facebook (to a point), I'd say about 75% of the people on there are simply there to show off, brag and talk about how awesome they are.

Hey everyone, look at my hot wife. Hey everyone, look at my big house. Hey, everyone, look at my new car, Hey everyone, look at me on the beach in Maui.

Just either delete your account or play along. For a while, I started making up things about myself. LOL

And a side note, looks can be deceiving. I live in Vegas and it SUCKS
