What is the minimum amount of money you can invest at a time?

I've never invested stock before and don't know how to do it!

Find the company on the web and send them an email or call their investors relation department to determine if they will sell direct in a dividend re-investment plan. They probably do not so you need to find a discount broker that will open an account with small amount of money. Look for ads that say what minimum account is required. You can buy one share of a stock at a time but the cost may not make it worthwhile.
Look for "Investing for Dummies" ( this is the title not an insult to your intelligence) and read before risking any money.

To my knowledge you must invest through a broker. Different brokerages will have different minimums for an account but the minimum would be the cost of one share plus commission. Go to http://www.investopedia.com and find a read their piece called "Investing 101".

All stocks that is publicly traded must be bought/sold through a registred broker/dealer, this does not mean yu have to use an individual stock broker but you must use a brokerage firm.

Most brokerage firrms have minimums for purchases which is usually $500.

Pick a brokerage firm that offers on-line services (most of them do), open a new account on-line. Write a check made payable to the brokjrage firm and make sure your account number is on the check. Mail the check or deliver it to the brokerage firm, when the check clears you can make a purchase in your account, once again using the on-line service

It is impossible to invest in any stock without the help of a broker.if you really want to invest in any stock and earn money.Don't jealous that with your money others also earning.Suppose you get chance to invest in Facebook or any stock that company also churn your money and make the money.
There is two way to invest in Facebook either through stock market or through Mutual Funds.
