The number one thing I hate about facebook is that it supports "going with the crowds" in that people post things based on what they think will get the most "likes". Whether it be sympathy likes, or 'you are right' likes, or just 'you are popular and we like you' likes.
Since almost everyone HAS a facebook and many people consider themselves "addicted" to it, it is safe to say that this mob mentality has a fair amount of influence over our younger generation.

In short
1. It supports mob mentality
2. It is a popularity contest continued on after high school
3. It is just a way for corporations to see what kind of behaviors are trending among their buyers so that they can better manipulate us through advertisement.

I just recently got a facebook about 7 months ago and I wish I never had, it has literally greatly lowered my faith in humanity.

Hate - the advertising on the pages - even ones I would never approve of morally.

I don't have a FaceBook and never will - but have seen others waste their time and lives posting photos and reading the many boring threads.
