I would say it's a good start for a student. I would really try to not cut off subjects and be more aware of backgrounds. Your photography should tell some sort of story and with some of your photos I just don't get it why take a photos a part of a building with a blank sky?

Find a way to achieve more tonal range in the black and whites. They are on the flat side. Blacks need to be richer.
