What do you think of this band BTI?

So i'm not into music scenes really..But this local band BTI they say it stands for Below the Influance is from KS and I went to my freinds house and they were playing this little show for this little group of people and they scared this girl with this song they played the lead guy (Gavin Meadows) tried to hand himself with his mic chord they were wild... They are playing their first show here soon at some venue called the Art Closet and they intrigued me so I checked their bandcamp out. Personally I think they've got a lot of potention they have this punk feeling (like old school 80's punk) when I asked Gavin if they were punk rockers he said they arent anything close to it despite my belief when I asked him what they were he said "Garage rock like The Reatards!" They've got a female bassist and her name is McCormick and the drummer Roar who are all out there but they can rock.
Gavin, Roar, and McCormick all aplogize cause their first EP "We're BTI" was recorded on a 1980's one track cassette recorder.
Also the band really trys to let everyone know they are not HOMOPHOBIC they have been accused of it since the release of their acoustic ep "We're ******* Now" they explained to me that is was a mockery of some of the music today and Gavin has been told on multiple occsions that he's not good enough because his preferance is electric guitars so they made that. (Kinda funny when you think about it)
They are recording a full legnth album right now on a 8 track machine they purchased titled "I Hate Everything"

So basically have you guys heard of them?? Do you think they have potentional?

Just got finished with part of that video they sound nothing alike.... whatever maybe its cause I'm not into music.
