What do you think about facebook?

Talk about your opinion of social networks in general (i.e Twitter or Myspace), but since facebook is the Goliath of social networking, and the most used Web site in the world, share your thoughts on facebook. Also, include your age/gender.

My own thoughts: I fucking HATE facebook. It destroys peoples' privacy at an alarming rate, it sucks peoples' lives in as they confuse reality and actual interactions with people to "likes" on facebook, and most importantly, it's so motherfucking popular among high schoolers and even middle schoolers. People at my HS seem to be unable to comprehend people in the school without a facebook account (like me). I think facebook, Myspace, or Twitter should never have existed. I'm 16/M btw

Yeah, I guess you could see it from that point of view, but I'm only 16, so people my age primarily use it to communicate with friends in this town who are just a walk or quick car ride away, so it's pretty useless for my age group, yet it's still a huge fad.

I honestly love facebook. But that's just my opinion but sometimes yes I get mad over it. It causes tons of drama.

I am 28 female and think facebook is boring and there is no point of having a facebook account, I had one but then stopped using it because there is no point.....everyone I know is a walk away and one phone call away. My little sister gets on there and I never can get her off facebook, I am still trying to understand what she is doing on there that is sooooooo interesting to stay on there all hours of the day and night????? To much drama as well.....and I HATE DRAMA. I agree with you,
facebook, Myspace, or Twitter should never have existed. Your soooo right.
