What does It mean when you have a page on Facebook and It says "18 people talking about this" ?

It simply means that your page has been indexed by the facebook server and whenever any one writes that page name it counts it.
when 18 people have written/discussed anything about your page in their chatting. It counts it to better index your page for future which will make others easier to find it.
