Ways of getting my photography out there?

I'm an aspiring fine art photographer and I want to get my work out there, Ive got a few likes on my facebook page but I want bigger things, like getting in magazines and having my work on books covers and etc. I submitted my work to a magazine and they said that they loved my work and that they would be in touch with me in a month when there next issue comes out which is really exciting but do you guys have any other suggestions or ideas that could help me out? thanks much!
