What's key to get your tweets notice on twitter?

I been trying to tweet interesting tweets. My question what's key to tweet something interesting?

1 get lots of followers
2. tweet under trending hash tags so more user may read it
3. tweet in live chat events or TV events where they show tweets on screen , news networks and sporting events like boxing and ufc are good ones for that , the more controversial the tweet the more likely they'd post if on TV on a news channel , for sports the more insightful the better

I think retweeting interesting tweets is also a good way to get noticed at first and just maybe get a follower or two
