what are my political views (UK)?
I am not sure what my views are. I don't believe in socialism or liberalism as I am against political correctness. I don't like capitalism as the people are more important. I don't believe in feminism as I am a man. I don't believe in fascism as my grandparents fought a war to abolish it. as for communism, it is a good idea but our population is too big for it to work (like Russia).

I have many views but I don't know which side I am on.
David420: political correctness is when you try not t poo offend people. It is the reason we cannot be proud to be British without being classed as racists. Nowadays people say they are offended at things as if it gives them rights. It is nothing more than them whining. If you're offended blame your parents for raising you as a pussy. Otherwise I think socialism is good as it gives equality to all. I am against capitalism as they separate people by class and care more about money than the people. I hate facism. Especially the BNP. They use D day and the battle of Britain in their advertising campaigns. Don't they realise the military were fighting facism? The very thing they believe in? Coincidentally I hope to join the army as an officer after university. Communism is good in some ways but I think Stalin ruined it. Lenin knew his stuff. As for feminism, I thought they wanted women as the superior race? They are the reason women are allowed to hit us but men are not allowed to
*political correctness is when you try not too offend people. My iPad has weird predictive text.

From what you said, you are ideologically a communist, but just cannot figure out how to make it work.

If you do an online search there are many sites who claim to be able to tell you what you are in politics ... I am sure you can find something that will suit your need &/or agenda !

Sounds like classic UKIP territory.

Most of their half-baked economic policy you are fairly ambivalent about. They could do with a few fresh ideas, and concentrating on people rather than money might well appeal to them. Smaller units of Government, rather than a federal Europe, you could probably see eye-to-eye with them too.

UKIP are certainly not fascist, and are quite happy to be as politically incorrect as the average bloke in a pub. In fact buying a round of drinks is probably the level and scale of communism they could handle quite happily.

As someone else has said, there are sites that endeavor to tell you where you lie in the political spectrum. This is one of them http://www.politicalcompass.org/test most of them have an American slant, but it's probably as accurate as anything else. The thing is people tend to change over the years, some a little, some a lot. The best you can really do when deciding who to vote for politically is find the candidate that best represents your view, because you will never find someone that you totally agree with.

I would say you're all over the place UKIP are not Fascist but they are Capitalist certainly you have some common traits with them as Elmbeard has noticed. But you say Communism is a good idea but do not like Socialism which is a little confusing. I would say you could be swayed to UKIP but remember they are capitalist. But very confused political views Robert.

Join the club! Just out of feeling from what you say, you seem to fit as a left-wing Conservative... which is what I feel most comfortable with. "The people are more important" - that's a really telling phrase.

Socialism and political correctness don't necessarily go together. It just does with what you get in the current Labour Party, but I remember when they actually were properly socialist (they certainly aren't now) and nobody knew what political correctness is.

We can all agree on fascism, and you're totally right about communism - it's great in a small community where it can actually work but in a whole country it never does.

What is socialism? It's the idea that the government should own major industries so they aren't run for profit but for the benefit of the people. It allows capitalism - the free market, setting up your own business, the freedom to make money and all that - but recognises that if the whole economy is capitalist, the worst-off in society get left out.

There are so many things to balance off. History shows that capitalism works. But being totally capitalist isn't right either as it leaves the poorest people out. So we should do something for them too. So we have social security, but if that's too attractive, that's no good either. Nor can we spend too much on it, or the country ends up in debt and taxes have to go up to pay for it.

Does all that make any sense? If it all does, you are in total agreement with the current coalition government.

I think you sound more confused than anything.

"I don't believe in socialism or liberalism as I am against political correctness"

??
What IS political correctness? And what's it got to do with socialism or liberalism?
What people complain about as "PC" is usually just politeness, 90% of the time. It's a buzz word.

"I don't like capitalism as the people are more important"

Since you hate socialism, what's your alternative?

"I don't believe in feminism as I am a man"

What does being a man have to do with it?
"Feminism" is a catch-all word for general women's rights - do you oppose women having the right to vote, work, own property, marry who they want, stand for public office, etc? I am sure you don't oppose those things, but you never know.

@Clive: But socialists don't actually believe the "government" should run our industries or means of production. Socialists believe that, ultimately, the people should run them for the benefit of the people - and not in the pursuit of profit.

As for history showing that capitalism works.... for a tiny percentage of the population. For a larger percentage of the population, it leaves them in misery and poverty, history shows us that it has to rejuvenate itself through wars and recessions.

The only thing that makes a life on social security "attractive" is lack of employment opportunities and a NMW which isn't enough to live on and get everything paid, and has to be topped up by social security, otherwise most people wouldn't like to spend their days doing nothing with their lives and being isolated from general society - in any case our (UK) social security system is certainly not generous enough to be attractive, other European countries have a far better social security system than we do.
