Will there ever be an anti-text messaging movement?
Do you think there will ever be a movement to promote people talking to each other directly, whether it's over the phone or in person?

Text messaging is bad for children when they need to be developing social skills face to face. Homeschooling is bad too for the same reason, I think that homeschooling should only be for children who are violent or for children who get poor grades otherwise.
Neil -- I hope so.

Of course, Texting is already getting old amongst kids. We shouldn't get too hung up about fads, because they're always changing, and that includes Texting, Twitter, and Facebook, for some kids, those are all already OLD NEWS.

Considering the fact that the reason why major cell phone corporations (Samsung, Apple, Nokia, etc.) are still alive because of their cell phones with texting capabilities, corporations will do what they can to prevent the movement of anti-text messaging.

We, the people, are not going to change anything, otherwise movements would have been illegal here in the U.S. already (just like everything else which makes a change).

I seriously doubt that that type of promotion will start, considering the amount of technology we rely on that prevents just that.
As for homeschooling, I would really love to correct your views on that. Homeschooling is a great thing for kids, better than public school, considering that kids who choose that option are oftentimes more intelligent and can converse more easily with a variety of people, unlike their peers, who can often only converse with those that are the same age and just like them.

are you being forced to text or is anybody for that matter? they told people its cool so people do it. text messaging is not bad for children it forces them to spell. whats bad for children is parents who let their children grow up without social skills. and try to blame them on inanimate objects. like people blame video games for kids getting fat instead of just saying the kid is fat because they like playing video games not exercising. the video game has an off switch and the phone also has voice calling. if that fails you have legs if the person is in walking distance. stop blaming electronic devices for being lazy or anti social.
