I'll be the first to tell you that gaming is very difficult in terms of success, mainly because of the content you have to put into it. Take Pewdiepie for example; the reasons why he is successful is because of multiple factors: the games he plays, his commentary, flourishes, connections, and locations. For you, you're lacking much of this.

I'll actually use Pewdiepie throughout the entire explanation as he is a very good example of this.

I suggest playing more games that are interesting and what people want to play but can't. Dark souls can be a good game to play as people want that game. The reasoning behind this is that people like to watch the games for one of four reasons: they want to see how the game is before they purchase it, for entertainment as the cannot buy the game, they want a guide through the game, or they seek comedy. Because you play games that most people have and you do not place a comedic touch to it, there's no point in watching it, therefore people do not.

As for the commentary, i've shown an example within the previous segment; people crave for comedy in gaming. Notice how most if not all the successful gaming channels are surrounded by comedy. ( Pewdiepie, Yogscast, CaptainSparklez, ChimneySwift, NerdCubed, etc.) They all focus on entertainment via some form of comedy through their commentary. Also notice how each and every single one of them has their own take on the subject.

Flourishes, in this case, specifies what they do that puts them apart from one another; what they're known for. The reason why Pewdiepie is known so greatly and is the most subscribed channel on YouTube is because os his amount of flourishes. He has three main ones: HappyWheels, Amnesia, and Brofist, his connection with all of his viewers. These touches make him known for something and because he is known for that specific topic, the larger it is, the more successful he becomes. Notice how his main flourishes are entire games.

He is very widely known because he can easily make friends, which happens to be very important. Before he became the most subscribed channel on YouTube, he had made friends with many, much more successful people. ( i.e. Ian and Anthony from Smosh, the previous reining champions.) Once he became friends with those people, in this case Smosh, he began appearing in their content. He was liked by Smosh's viewers and won them over; this gave him much more subscribers thus, much more views. This, as a matter of fact, is important regardless of your career; you need connections. He is also very connected with his viewers through social media and sometimes personally live chats them on Omegle.

Locations are also very important as how YouTube works. YouTube generally suggests channels based on their location to yours and their connections with your already subscribed channels ( If you watch gaming videos most often then they'll suggest gaming channels.) Continuing with location, Pewdiepie has ties with not only America, but Sweden and Italy as well. Remember how I had said that YouTube suggests channels on your location to theirs; because he is involved with multiple people and multiple countries, his content is very widespread. In this case, connections also tie into location; American channels were his gateway into America and thus, most of YouTube.

In reality, YouTube is all about strategy. The more trump cards you have, the more likely you'll win the game. I hope that I've helped you at least a bit on the topic of what you need to look at to be successful; with that, I wish you the best in your endeavors; good luck!
