Does this Facebook Timeline Remover really work?

This "App" has been sent to me like 10 times already from my friends so I clicked it an soemthing just doesn't seem right about it, it asked me to send request to all my friends and doesn't seem like Facebook made it. I clicked it and it asked me to download and install it. I feel like it is just gonna make "my view" (when I'm on my computer) of the original Facebook profile, but for others, it will show my profile still a timeline. Just curious.... Anyone hating the new timeline, to remove in chrome go to the spanner (top right) , tools, extensions, get more extensions, in search box type timeline remove and add the extension, refresh your fb page and wahay its back to normal, feel free to share**
