smart phone with skype and facebook chat?

hi all !!!! can anybody recommend a smart phone that will enable me to use skype, and also facebook chat? ie always used nokias, but now looking for something a bit funkier :-) dont mnd wether its touchscreen etc, and not fussed about the make or model.... its just the two features mentioned that are important to me.... cheers in advance for your advice !!!! x
hi mariam - dont mind a contract or pay as you go.... looking at the samsung galaxy and the htc mini at the mo... is there much difference between the htc models? x
sorry miriam - another question - !! _ can you also get skype and facebook chat on the htc desire? if so, it seems thats the one i'm looking for !!! thanks for your advice so far ! x

HTC wildfire or LG optimus one ..
Also if u live in tthe UK Go for 3, you get free Skype, twitter and o.Facebook (not the normal FB which will cost you)

I assume you want it on PAYG as well?

For things like FB I'd recommended a Android phone..
I've got a HTC Desire and I love it... if you want a higher end phone but aren't too bothered about softwares and stuff, HTC desire (or Desire Z), Samsung Galaxy s, Google nexus one (or s) would be my top choice Hehe
Some of the Windows 7 phones are worth considering too.

M biggest advice would be to narrow down your options then read and watch reviews. .. there are so many mobile phones out there it's impossible to take one persons word for anything...

The desire is great imo
If you want free Skype then (from my knowledge) only 3 offers it. You will also have to download it from 3 rather than the Android market. However if you'd rather go for another network then you can still download Skype from the Android market
There's a Facebook App which, in most cases, should already be installed when you get your phone. The App is good and you can still do everything you would when your using FB on a PC (like chat) ..

for facebook chat, the is an App called "GoChat" that is the IM service of your facebook friends. for skype, it just depends. verizons 4g thunderbolt is the only phone now with skype w/ video chat which is awesome
