Facebook,"Do you know John?" but can't click "yes"!?

I am on the facebook page of someone I know. Towards the top left it says "Do you know John?" but there is no way that I can respond to the question. I can see is no button, no way of saying "yes" nor "no," and no way of adding that person as a friend.

There is a cog button, and it has one option, to report/block that person.

Has that person blocked me/everyone? If so, why is Facebook asking the question?

(Is some web designer laughing his or her butt off thinking, about how millions of people will be right clicking and left clicking and wasting their time attempting to answer the unanswerable question, "Do you know...?")

That is facebook bug. You should report it to facebook.
