Reduced image size in Instagram?

I've had the iPhone 4s for about a month and a half and one of my favorite apps is Instagram. However, it always frustrates me that when I go to upload a photo from my photo library, Instagram automatically reduces the size and I never get the entire photo in there. Is there a way to remedy this problem at all?

No, the whole thing about Instagram is making pictures look vintage Polaroids, so there's no way to change it.

I believe Instagram mimicks the colors you get from Lomography, so if you want a larger picture, try looking into cameras for that type of photography.
