Facebook etiquette- stating your opinion?

Just curious what other people think.
When posting your opinion on a hot topic on your personal facebook, do you edit yourself for fear of unintentionally offending someone?
Or do you think that the responsibility of avoiding offensive content falls on the person who adds you to their newsfeed?

The only thing I think about are my younger Friends . . . I have Under-18 Family on my List, so I tend to use better Language.
