how do i get people to realize my twitter page exists?

i made a twitter page that is meant to be funny. i think people will follow, but they don't even know it exists. how can i make my page stand out somehow so people will realize it exists and follow it?

Yes, find people you know and start following them. Hopefully they will follow back, and if you get some retweets or something, then more people will see you and potentially follow.
