Do you think she likes me?

K so recently i've been under the suspicion that one of my girl friends likes me. She hasn't been particularly flirty, but a lot's been going on over texting; one day we had two 2 1/2 hour bus rides and we texted the entire time both ways. Another time she texts me using my friend's phone saying "Hey hot stuff" and "sexxxyness " but i'm almost positive she was just kidding/teasing/whatever

Today I helped her w/homework over text and she says "thank you (nickname) . You just saved my life a little bit". And she laughs at any bad jokes I make, and she keeps some of them going. One of them on the bus rides was making ridiculous hashtags (#likethisasanexample) and she keeps making them back when I do them now. One other time we texted, I made a joke about how no one cares about my life (she knew I was kidding, wasn't being emo or anything lol) and she does hashtags "#Aw(nickname)!" "#peoplecareaboutyou " everyone calls me by nickname but she hasn't really until recently so idk

Around school she's not too flirty with me either, she might be shy? So does it sound like this girl likes me, or am I reading way too into it? and yes, i know these questions get asked a lot, but I'm no good at figuring out girls

Hmmm, this is kind of a tough one. It sounds like she COULD definitely like you, from all the texting going on. On the other hand, it could just be that she looks to you as a really good friend. Alright, time to over-analyze this stuff, haha.

The 2 and a half hour bus ride could really go both ways, me being a lazy texter, I never text people for more than 20 minutes unless I really like them. However, she might have just been bored, but still, two and a half hours is a looong time, so I'd say that is a good sign that she likes you.

The "hot stuff" and "sexyness" could also mean two different things. Normally girls would not text that to a guy that they like because it would give waaaaay too much away. I would only ever text that to a guy if he knew that I positively had no romantic feelings for him, just as a joke. Either way, a girl would only say that to a guy that they are really close with. But you know her better than I do, so you have to decide whether she is the kind of girl that would send that just as playing around, or whether she actually put some truth into how she looks at you. Anyway, that doesn't necessarily mean that she likes you or doesn't like you.

The whole "you just saved my life a little" is a very good thing. I'm a girl and even though I can't really explain why, I would only say something like that to a guy I liked. I don't know why, but the whole prospect of "Saving" just seems kind of romantic.

Laughing at your bad jokes is also a good thing. Girls will laugh at ANY joke that a guy she likes makes, no matter how bad it is, because they want the guy to know that they think that he is funny.

"people care about you", that could go either way again, but I'm leaning more towards the idea that she likes you. Yes, I would say that to a guy i don't have feelings for, but I would make a SPECIAL effort to say that to a guy i DO like, because girls want the guy to know that they are special, and it is kind of a hint that WE care about him. Calling you by your nickame is a good sign too.

It's okay if she is not flirty at school, she probably doesn't want to flirt or talk TOO much at school because she doesn't want people to know or even guess that she likes you. So all in all, it sounds to me like she likes you, or at least has some feelings for you.

My advice? Take it slow, continue talking to her. Instead of waiting for her to flirt/ talk with you at school, you should try going up to her and starting a conversation. Girls love that kind of stuff, give her complements too. If she doesn't mind physical contact from you, then that is a good sign, just like normal things like hugging or something. And if you haven't hugged, try asking her for one. Just say, "I've been having a really bad day and I just need a hug". If you are talking and you make eye contact for a little bit longer than what would be considered "Normal", that is also a really good sign.
