Do you think that phones and Social media are actually making people more antisocial?

There are some people that only text, and its not even like they are that busy or anything they just prefer it than actually talking or meeting up. Ex. like if a guy picks up a girl, and he only texts her and makes a date by text, dont you think all these things are making people more afraid to actually speak?

It is a new way of communicating and yes i would say it is less personal than letters and conversation.

Scientists would call the introduction of social media a social evolution for humanity (real scientists, not psychologists). Its a new means of communication and if people are preferring it over speech in some situations then it must be more efficient.
