Is there any relation between recent increse in rapes in India and easy availability of sex-videos?
Sex videos are available on the footpaths for only Indian Rupees 30 or 40. Cheap chinese mobile phones are available on which those movies are uploaded. DVD sets have become cheap. Internet is easily available on the mobiles. Are those the main reason for increase of incidents of rapes in India ? Or it is something else ?

Rape as a crime against humanity has always existed and it was perhaps even more rampant when the media and the society did not recognize it as a serious crime or even pursue aggressive punishment for rapists...by that I mean the past periods of history.
Today we say rape is increasing but do we have data on the same scale for previous centuries ...NO!!! **** is just a business making capitalist tool ....cleverly used by politicians and gender politicians as an excuse to advance their agendas rather than deal with this menace in its entirety..... the real reason lies in the levels of social awareness!!!! I think if you really look at it, it's not that the number of rapes has gone up, the number of reports of rapes have gone up because finally it looks like the police are taking it seriously. Women didn't even bother reporting them before.

A study revealed that 80 percent of rapes is due to revealing/provocative dress by women/girls.10 percent due to mental disorder 5 percent due to mistaken intentions and 5 percent calculated rape. This is the case in India, not in western countries. The mini skirts/revealing dress(boobs, thighs, navals etc that are usual in the west is new in India.

Statistically speaking, the percentage of rapes has not gone up but the reporting of rape cases has. The easy availability of porn has nothing to do with it. Nor the dress style of girls. If that were the case, there should not have been any rapes in the villages, which is not the case.
More victims are now approaching the police, that is the truth. In the days gone by, many if not most of the cases were not reported due to the stigma attached to the victim. |

Porn doen't induce rape. Rape is a serious & pathetic crime which has been happening for centuries in India. It's all in the mind of the perpetrator & no one else can be blamed for it.
