Why do cops and other government officials (and citizens) obey the illegitimate authority of tyrants?

These wars of aggression and police state oppression hinges on one single thing, our cooperation. It is not the tyrant at the top of the pyramid who has the final say, like most are conditioned to believe. The real question is not who issued the immoral order, the real question is why did you obey it? Did you obey because you saw a shiny badge on a uniform or an official looking seal? Did you think that those symbols of authority remove your responsibility to discern? Or is it because those around you complied quietly, and you didn't want to stand out? Did you think since you were told that you were not in charge it was someone else's responsibility to ask these questions?

The truth of the matter is that no one really stands above you. In 300 years we are all dust and bones and the queen and the pawn both end up in the same box. There are no bonus points after death for being a good little slave. There is no retroactive compensation for accepting a life of indentured servitude, and there is no honor in bowing down to these criminals who claim to be your rulers. Until you realize that, until humanity gets up off its knees looks them in the eye and says "No I WILL NOT obey, NO I WILL NOT comply!" Until you take your power back without asking for permission there will be no justice and there will be no peace.
No I voted for a libertarian, but I see now I wasted my time. The voting system is rigged, the elite makes sure that those who win are those who will be useful to their tyrannical ambitions. We are not going to change the system by voting.
Good point Tin we have to have a more or less unified end goal before we rise up and change the system, if not what will follow will more than likely be an even more totalitarian oppressive regime

The US is disfunctional enough as it is now without 313 million people asking questions of their elected officials and then when they don't get the answer they want they ask again or they rise up. Soon enough we have YOUR group that doesn't like or agree with the answers of the government rising up against MY group that does like the answers against that OTHER group that wants different answers and the OTHER OTHER group that wants even different answers.

YOU read the Constitution one way, I read it another, the Courts read it another way, the Government reads it yet another way. Everyone puts different import on different parts and things only continue to fall apart.

look at Libya its now a complete mess with different factions running different parts of the country with there only goal to line their own pockets
Iraq, Egypt, Syria and many more now just no longer work, with out order you have nothing
