My front facing camera refuses to work?

I have the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S2, It has been working fine since I got it in 2012. A month or two ago the front facing camera just refused to open, The back camera works perfectly fine. Every time I switch it to the front, it shuts down the camera. It doesn't work on any photography apps either (Snapchat, Instagram)

I have done everything, I deleted all my photos and even factory reset it, It hasn't changed. I'm running out of options, Any ideas or helpful information?

Ian, I didn't delete anything, and when I factory reset it it should have restored anything I deleted that came with the phone.

Did you delete any systems before your front facing camera refuse to work?
If you did it, you need to reflash the system.
