Facebook application for iPod?

Sorry guys, this might be a little long.

Well my iPod works fine and always has. It also has lots of memory free.
But when I go on the Facebook app, it freezes. I can check statuses and navigate fine, but when I like something/ comment on something it just freezes and returns to my home page. (the comment/like still goes through though)
But when I wallpost people / write statuses, it does the same thing and returns home, but my action doesn't process
Does anyone know what's wrong / how to fix it?

An update of the Facebook app went out not too long ago, on the home screen,down where the app store is there should be a small 1 in a red circle in the right hand corner of the icon. If you press that, and select "Updates"(once again this is the app store). There, it should say there's a update for you to download for the Facebook app.

IF you did download the update, then I would contact Apple.
