Depends on what is going on. There was a woman that was arrested for trolling herself basically. She made a fake account for her father and sent terrible messages to herself... Ruined his life basically, and gave her "ammo" to play the victim...

NOW.. Trolling is trolling, but there is a BIG difference between trolling and harassment, stalking, and other such crimes. More detail is needed to really help you out.

Yes, for stalking, harassing or defaming people. That's against the law regardless of whether it's online or not.
