I can't speak on behalf of Facebook, but if you're going use Twitter, tweet your blog posts with useful information. This gets people to click on your link and come to your blog. Do not Twitter the product. People can smell spam a mile away.

Twitter can serve as bringing a backlink to your blog. You can also social bookmark your posts (more backlinks). If you use Onlywire, then you can bookmark to several sites at one time. Just copy and paste the code onto your blog.

Just a hint....be sure you turn on the "moderate comments" settings on your blog. You'll be surprised the number of porn freaks who want to leave a link on your blog. Monitor all your comments before you allow them to be posted.
