Facebook friends icon?

How can i tell which of my friends are online when i am using facebook? On my friends computer there is a friends online icon on the bottom right of the page, but my computer doesn't have it.

You may have your Facebook chat disabled. Is there a little person with a dark circle next to him? If so, click that and click "online" to appear online and you'll be able to see your online friends.



If the whole bottom access bar is missing, well, it could be several issues.

Do you have Javascript enabled? If not find your browser and enable it;

1. Select 'Tools' from the top menu
2. Choose 'Internet Options'
3. Click on the 'Security' tab
4. Click on 'Custom Level'
5. Scroll down until you see section labled 'Scripting'
6. Under 'Active Scripting', select 'Enable' and click OK

Mozilla Firefox

1. Select 'Tools' from the top menu
2. Choose 'Options'
3. Choose 'Content' from the top navigation
4. Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript' and click OK

Apple Safari (1.0)

1. Select 'Safari' from the top menu
2. Choose 'Preferences'
3. Choose 'Security'
4. Select the check box next to 'Enable JavaScript'

If that doesn't work, you could be using an older version of your browser and need to update. See your browser's website for that.
