With John Cena's arm surgery, will this change CM Punk's Hell in a Cell opponent?
Apparently, as announced on WWE.com & WWE's official Facebook page, John Cena underwent arm surgery, that's gonna sideline him for four to six weeks. If he misses the maximum amount, you'd have to assume they wouldn't have John Cena still challenge CM Punk, without any build up.If he only misses four, they could still squeeze it in.As much as I love their matches, I'm getting sick of CM Punk/John Cena, it's time for something new.I prefer CM Punk being face, as well.

Unfortunately(& obviously), WWE doesn't have much main event talent to replace John Cena.WWE's in a bad position right now.Unless they talk JBL into "replacing" John Cena, at Hell in a Cell, it seems WWE is in between a rock & a hard place.I don't see many "big name" matches we could see, that we haven't already saw. We've seen Randy Orton/CM Punk, & Wade Barrett/CM Punk, & I'd rather not see them again.

BQ-If John Cena has to be "replaced" at Hell in a Cell, would you rather his replacement be Randy Orton, JBL, or Wade Barrett?

Well, from what I understand his surgery was to remove bone chips. It's a very common procedure that many, many athletes have to go through at some time or another. I'm actually a little surprised that WWE.com was predicting a four-six week recovery period. That seems quite long for that kind of operation.

BQ: As for Hell in a Cell, my first leaning is that Cena will still be the one in line against Punk. I could be wrong, but the PPV is still well over a full month away. Plenty of time for Cena to appear on RAW and not wrestle, but still hype the match. That would be my bet.

If now though, and Cena can't make it, I would think Randy Orton would get the title match. He's not doing much at the moment but can easily be plugged into a title feud at anytime. He's one of the most credible wrestlers on the roster, no matter what he's been doing lately.

well to be honest i don't think any of those 3 will replace him but this is really tough to say cause their isn't nobody else on Raw i could think of facing CM Punk cause they really hadn't built up anybody and i can't see it being Orton cause he is in a feud with Ziggler plus isn't he leaving soon to film a movie? Barret maybe is a possibility but i somehow see WWE squeezing Cena in here but seriously they need to stop doing these Punk/Cena matches no disrespect to them i respect both but they need new people to build up and really i don't know of many faces that could possibly face Punk i just think its time WWE to build up more talent because whats are they going to do when guys like Cena and Orton leave? they could put them in the mid card division yet still both would sell merchandise i guarantee it but besides Barret i could see JBL doing it not the greatest to do since he's retired but really who else is their thats worthy of facing Punk?

WWE.com now reports that Cena is expected to recover in two to three weeks, not four to six weeks as was originally reported.
The official WWE website announced that John Cena underwent surgery to remove bone chips in his elbow today. Dr. James Andrews removed several pieces of bone cartilage from Cena's elbow through a scope.

According to WWE, it will likely take two to three weeks for Cena to recover from a surgery of that nature.

WWE will release more information as it becomes available.

Wow, I would love to see a Punk vs JBL match. That seems great! JBL is one of my all time favorites, and Punk is getting up there. Both would put on a good show. If WWE wasn't PG, just imagine how brutal a Hell in the Cell match with those two in it?

Sucks for Cena that he's injured. But hey, at least he gets 6 weeks off. The guy deserves it. Whether you like him or not, you gotta respect him for being the companies top guy. He's with them 24/7. Now he has time off to heal, kick back, relax, and maybe steal someone elses fiance. Hehe Tongue
