I can close my facebook permanently or I can do with my FB account?

So, I find facebook too crazy. They post about themselves, photos that they show themselves, and a lot more. I don't like to post these stuff... I feel that I want to leave Facebook because of that. Also I have school friends in Facebook. I don't sign in Facebook for a very long time, even months. I use it only when I absent in school. That is all.

What I can do, delete my FB account or post that I want to leave in Facebook and then delete facebook? I feel a little unsafe every that I sign in on Facebook. The good thing is that other school friends are in other social websites such as YouTube, that I sign in frequently and I feel more secure and safe.

I want with no misspellings and professional like answers. The best one will be choose.

Just deactivate it. There's no option to close it permanently.

You can delete or deactivate your Facebook account

If you deactivate your account, your timeline disappears from Facebook immediately. People on Facebook won't be able to search for you, though some info, like messages you sent, may still be visible to others. If you don't think you'll use Facebook again, you can request to have your account permanently deleted. You won't be able to reactivate your account or retrieve anything you've added.
