Colonel Meow passed away, how old was he?
His Facebook account says he died Wednesday evening (the 29th), I didn't think he was that old. It had to be an internal issue or something. Wasn't he born just two or three years ago?
FYI for those not in the know - google him under 'images', he was a very distinctive cat that was known worldwide. He also made the guiness book of records for longest fur on a cat - 10 inches long.

He was indoors only. It wasn't an accident, it looks to be a heart issue.

I believe he was only 2 or three. I believe they determined it was his heart. Poor sweet guy, he was so adorable and had such handsome fur. Rest in peace, Colonel Meow.
He had been put in the hospital but I believe he died when he returned home.

We'll probably find out more as time goes on, either from Facebook or news media. It's sad that he died so long. I'm sure he lived a happy life, though. I mean in just two years of life he's more famous than anyone I know. He was one lucky cat.

I don't actually know who he is.
Assuming he's a cat...
If he's an outdoor cat, it's perfectly possible. Outdoor cats die early due to being killed or disease.
He was indoor, once again, disease or cars...
He also might have been older. Although male cats usually live to up to 20 years.

Sad - but IMO there are plenty of show quality Persians with a coat that long - they just don't have any one to verify it. The breeders don't care but I can guarantee that Meow did NOT have the longest coat in the world.

He was only 2 but had a bad heart http://www.today.com/pets/colonel-meow-i...2D12023699 He was originally adopted from the Seattle Persian and Himalayan Rescue in Seattle and then his owners moved to California. Sad. Way too young. Have you seen him in the Virgin Atlantic ad?
