Emails not being delivered recently?

For the past few weeks or so some of my emails are not being received by recipients. It's not across the board but now I can never be sure whether an email has got through or not. Sometimes I get a delivery failure message but more often than not I receive no message and the email sits in the "Sent" folder. Should I trust Yahoo with my emails anymore or should I switch?
