Creating business pages on Facebook?

I had a couple of questions on creating a business page on Facebook. Is it like creating a group on Facebook or is it very different? Some specific things I was wondering about were:

1) Is the business page linked to a personal profile? Would people see the person who created the page, or who the admin is, when they visit the business page?
2) If that person is no longer with the business, can you "transfer" the business page to someone else?

1. Yes. You create it from your personal page, but the two aren't publicly linked. You can choose to show administrators if you'd like.
2. You cannot change the founder of a Facebook page.
